| Rancho Cordova, CA: The Board
of Directors of Clean Energy Systems, Inc. (CES) today announced
the election of The Hon. Brian C. Griffin as President and
a member of its Board. Griffin's election is part of a company
reorganization that took effect January 1, 2004. Former President
Dr. Stephen Doyle has been elected Executive Vice President.
Chief Executive Officer Keith Pronske and Board Chairman Dr.
Harry Brandt remain in their current positions.
Griffin previously served two terms as Oklahoma Secretary
of Environment under Governor Frank Keating, and is currently
the Federal Representative to the Southern States Energy Board;
appointed by President George W. Bush . His past appointments
have included being Chairman of the Administrative Conference
of the United States during both the George H.W. Bush and
Clinton Administrations. He also served as a senior official
at the United States Department of Justice, and is a former
representative to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
Prior to his public service, Griffin was Executive Vice President
and General Counsel of a New York Stock Exchange listed oil
and gas exploration and production company, and was an adjunct
professor at the University of Oklahoma.

CEO Keith Pronske.
CES is a privately held energy technology innovations firm,
working to produce power without pollution. The company has
developed technology allowing for the combustion of fossil
fuels to produce electricity with zero emissions. CES has
received technology development funding from the federal Department
of Energy and is receiving continuing funding for development
of a demonstration plant from the California Energy Commission.
Initial power production is expected in the latter part of
2004.
